I wrote about this topic today. My piece ‘You can win NaNoWriMo but still feel like you lost’, was precisely about how I wrote 50k words in 30 days but, in the end, I didn’t feel like a true writer: I didn’t have the time to savour the process and grow (with) the characters — the main goal of my writing was word-counting.

It was a positive experience, but I ended with a truly shitty draft (more shitty than is suppose to be)
